Cucumber
The production of cucumber started in the north-west parts of India. It was also popular over 3000 years ago in the ancient countries of the Mediterranean basin, mainly in Grece and ancient Rome.
Cucumber is a member of the melon family. It is long, barrel-shaped or claviform-shaped vegetable. It has smooth or rough, bumpy and ridged skin, depending on varitey. Best varieties of cucumber have soft, juicy flesh and cool flavor. Cucumber is rather poor in nutritive value, but it is appreciated for it’s refreshing taste and alkaline compounds content, which supports right digestion
Polish producers use modern methods of production with the use of humble-bee pollination and the biological protection of cultivation, which guarantee high quality of cucumbers produced in Poland.
